Dammit!!!! OK, so, having had a really great 20-mile ride on Saturday, I was ready for another ride on Monday. I like to take a day off now and then, especially when it means I get to sepnd time with family. But I digress. I start pedalling, feeling good, etc. and then, at the 15-mile mark, I hear something wrong. And I feel it. something mechanical has gone awry with my two-wheeled machine!!!!!
Not one to panic, I put it upside down to decipher the problem - don;t worry, I stepped off the bike first. Much to my happiness, it's not the crank. Cranks are expensive. I hate expensive. I can't afford expensive. But, much to my chagrin, there appears to be something wrong with the wheel. I think the axle may be a little bent. This could just mean I need a new hub. But why not get a whole new wheel??? It would be an upgrade.
Oh well, I'll figure it out in the morning when I wake up.
On a side note, I finished building a measuring jig for the local racing outfit. Thi was a cool little project, and I think it turned out ok. I've also got a nice idea for a clever little box - I think my wife will like it. Yeah, I cleaned up my workshop a bit tonight, which is good, because I have several projects that really NEED to be pushed along. I'd like to get many of them finished this summer. The only problem is they might interfere with my time on the bike. I'll have to watch this one closely!!!!
That being said, I'm tired, and I'm off to bed.
